ADEL™
Ambrose Diaphonic Ear Lens
Asius
Technologies
has invented a revolutionary new approach to reproducing sound in the ear,
involving small micropumps and unique inflation devices (patents pending).
We call it ADEL Technology, which stands for Ambrose
Diaphonic Ear Lens.
Ambrose is the name of the principle technology
inventor, Stephen Ambrose, Diaphonic comes from the Greek
words meaning through sound, and Ear Lens describes the fact
that the technology allows adjustments of sound coupling to the hearing
system as does a camera lens our sight.
In combination with a variety of sound reproduction transducers, ADEL
devices seal in desired sounds, seal out undesired sounds and control the
coupling of energy to the cochlea by means of bone conduction as with
natural human hearing. These seals are created and maintained at safe
pressures, lower than those
associated with “clearing your ears” during an airplane flight.
In addition to
sealing the ear canal and coupling sound energy into the hearing system,
ADEL devices perform these functions with extreme comfort and a
significant reduction of the occlusion effect.
